Parent Support Consultation Sessions

Helping parents feel more confident addressing emotions at home.

Parenting does not come with a manual, and every child responds differently to life's challenges. Parent Support Consultation Sessions provide a supportive space to talk through concerns about your child's emotions, behavior, communication, stress responses, school concerns, or family dynamics.

These sessions are educational and consultative; they are not therapy and do not include your child. Parent Support Consultations do not provide a diagnosis, assessment, or treatment for your child. They are designed to help you better understand what may be contributing to difficult moments and provide practical, evidence-based strategies you can begin using at home.

Rate and payment

Sessions are $100 for 60 minutes, whether one or both parents attend. Parent Support Consultations are private pay, and insurance is not accepted. A complimentary 15-minute consultation is available before scheduling.

Format and frequency

One or both parents may attend. Sessions are available virtually or in person at my North Dallas office. The child does not attend. Some parents schedule one focused session, while others return for additional support as needs change.

What a Parent Support Session looks like

During our session, we will talk through your concerns, identify patterns or triggers surrounding difficult moments, and discuss what you have already tried. Together, we will identify practical strategies that fit your child and family. My goal is to help you leave with a clearer understanding of how to support your child at home. If your child may benefit from therapy, an evaluation, or another service, I will discuss appropriate next steps with you.

Parent support may be a good fit if

  • You are looking for practical parenting strategies.
  • You feel unsure whether your child needs therapy.
  • You want guidance on supporting your child's emotions or behavior at home.
  • You are navigating a challenging stage or family transition.
  • You want professional support without beginning therapy for your child.

Recommendations when additional support may help

If, during our consultation, it appears your child may benefit from therapy or another service, I will discuss appropriate recommendations with you. You can also review therapy services.
